IMPORTANT-READ CAREFULLY. All new applicants shall
be bound by the Rules of the Association for Membership. A full copy of the
Rules and Regulations (Constitution) shall be made available before a new member

Types of Membership [Paragraph 3.0]
|

MSIA Membeship application is open for three
classes:-
|
| 3.1 |
Ordinary Member |
Any company legally constituted
in Malaysia and whose principal activities include or concern site
investigation may apply for Ordinary Membership of the Association. |
| 3.2 |
Associate Member |
Any company, organisation, or
person deemed appropriate or suitable by the Council for the achievement of
any aims and objectives of the Association may apply for Associate Membership
of the Association. |
| 3.3 |
Honorary Member |
Any person who in the opinion
of the Council is of acknowledged eminence in the site investigation industry
or who have contributed some special service in furtherance of the
Association's objects may be appointed by the Council from time to time as an
Honorary Member of the Association. |

Application
for Membership [Paragraph 4.0] |
| 4.1 |
Every application for Ordinary or
Associate Membership shall be proposed and seconded by two existing Ordinary
Members and shall be forwarded to the Secretary who shall then submit it to the
Council for approval.

| 4.2 |
The Council may at its discretion reject any
application without assigning any reason thereof. |
| 4.3 |
Every applicant whose application has been
approved as aforesaid shall, upon payment of the prescribed entrance fee and
first annual subscription, be admitted as a Member of the Association and shall
be entitled to all the privileges of membership. |

Rights and Privileges of Members
[Paragraph 5.0] |
| 5.1 |
An application for Ordinary Membership shall
state the name of the company director hereinafter referred to as the
Representative who shall:
|

- act on behalf of the Ordinary Member in
all matters between the Ordinary Member and the Association including but not
limited to representing the Ordinary Member at all meetings and stand for
nomination and/or to be elected/appointed to the Council
- assume all rights, privileges, and
obligations of the membership
- remain effective until the Ordinary Member informs the
Association in writing of a change in the representation.

| 5.2 |
Honorary and Associate Members shall be entitled to
all rights and privileges of Members in the Association except the rights to
vote, hold elected office in the Association, and make requisition for general
meetings.

| 5.3 |
An Ordinary Member may appoint a proxy to
represent him at any general meeting and the proxy shall have all rights of the
Ordinary Member whom he is representing to vote thereat. |
| 5.4 |
The proxy form shall be addressed to the
Honorary Secretary and shall be deposited at the registered office of the
Association not less than seven (7) days before the time of holding the meeting
at which the person named in the proxy proposes to attend and vote.

| 5.5 |
No Ordinary Member shall attend, speak or
vote either in person or by proxy at any meeting of the Association unless all
monies then due from the Ordinary Member to the Association have been paid.

|
Entrance
Fees, Subscription and Other Dues [Paragraph 6.0] |
| 6.1 |
The entrance fees and subscriptions payable shall
be as follows:- |

| |
Honorary Members shall not be required to pay
entrance fees or annual subscriptions. |
| |
|
| 6.2 |
All annual subscriptions shall be payable to
the Treasurer before the first day of each year. |
| 6.3 |
Any Member who allows his arrears to exceed three
months shall automatically cease to be Member of the Association, and the
Council may direct that legal action be taken against him, provided that the
Council is satisfied that he has received due notice of his debts.

| 6.4 |
The Council shall have the power to fix a reentrance
fee for any person who has allowed his membership to lapse through arrears.
|
| 6.5 |
Special subscriptions or levies for particular
purposes may be raised from Members by resolution of the general meeting of the
Association. If any Member fails to pay such subscription within such period as
may be resolved, the amount due shall be treated in the same ways as arrears of
annual subscription.

| 6.6 |
All or any fees or dues paid by any Member shall
not be refunded to the said Member in any event or under any circumstance,
including but not limited to resignation, disqualification and removal of the
said Member. |
| 6.7 |
A Member whose membership is suspended for whatever
reason shall continue to pay all or any fees or dues to be paid by the Member.
